Advanced Dental Services & Technology – Upper Arlington, OH

We Implement Innovative Dental Technology Every Day

New technological advancements are now making it easier than ever before to create more positive and comfortable experiences for dental patients. Instead of relying on traditional methods (i.e., X-rays, messy dental putty, scalpels and sutures), Dr. Glamm incorporates innovative technologies that promote swift, accurate, precise, and conservative methods of treatments. Take a look at the different equipment we use to ensure a more successful visit.

Intraoral Cameras

Dentist using intraoral camera to capture smile images

If you’re like most patients, you’d rather see what your dentist is looking at than simply stare up at the ceiling during a checkup. Now with intraoral cameras, the images taken with these camera-tipped devices make it possible for you to see in real-time exactly what Dr. Glamm is looking at when examining your smile. Not only does this allow for more thorough patient education, but it also serves to better explain the reason for treatment.

All-Digital X-Rays

All digital x rays on tablet computer

Our Dexis all-digital X-rays make for more accurate diagnostic imaging. Unlike traditional radiographs that produce lackluster images, these scans are clear, high-resolution, and easily stored. Should Dr. Glamm need to retrieve your X-rays in the future, she won’t need to go digging in a file folder to find them. Instead, they can be digitally retrieved to determine any changes that might be occurring on your journey to better oral health.

Digital Impression System

There’s no need for cold, messy dental putty when we have the iTero 5D digital impression system. By scanning your mouth using a handheld device, we can capture images of your smile that form to create a three-dimensional model. After making the necessary adjustments, Dr. Glamm can easily send the model off to lab technicians to begin the fabrication of your customized restoration.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Whether it is a periodontal or cosmetic treatment that is required, the soft oral tissues of the mouth often need help. But instead of using regular scalpels and sutures that can require long recovery times and much discomfort, we now incorporate our diode soft tissue laser. Its concentrated beam of light moves along the tissues to eliminate bad oral bacteria or remove excess tissue. With minimal bleeding and swelling, and a reduced chance of infection, our soft tissue laser is one of the most unique devices we offer in our dental office.
